Job Description

Job Purpose To ensure integrity and reliability of all instrument field equipment focusing on field instrumentation including pressure, temperature, control valve etc. To provide technical advice on all field Instrument modifications/projects in the plant with at the same time ensuring compliance to legal, IEC standard, HRC DEP, best practices and other company standards. Principle Accountabilities Ensure all Field Instrumentation activities are conducted in accordance with HSSE practices and procedures. Advise on Field Instrumentation reliability improvements, develop maintenance strategies and audit compliance with asset management, inspection and maintenance procedures and standards. Provide team support in Field Instrumentation reliability and bad actor program. Identifying problems with Field Instrumentation equipment. Provide detailed failure / root cause analysis and advising improvements/solutions. Ensure implementation of preventive maintenance routines which results from specific studies (RRM, RCM, IPF, etc.) Provide technical advice and coaching to plant maintenance and operations personnel. Coordinate Field Instrumentation related work (e.g. projects, turnarounds) inclusive of scoping, scheduling, and execution. Provide cost effective maintenance and system management on all Field Instrumentation. Provide technical support on all Field Instrumentation modifications to the plant installation to ensure legal, DEP, best practices and company standard compliance. Ensure cost optimization through LEAN, waste elimination and cost transparency initiatives. Conduct IPF analysis during PM, carry out RCA upon any trip, identify reoccurring issues any conduct investigation. Knowledge, Skills & Experience Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in engineering preferably in Electrical/Electronic or minimum Technical Diploma or equivalent certification. Minimum 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience dealing with Field Instrumentation. Detailed knowledge of Field Instrumentation including sizing and selection, hook up drawing and controls design. Knowledge in Honeywell DCS/FSC system, third party PLC system Well-versed with HSSE requirements, safety procedures, hazard management, HRC DEP and Operational Manual, and other relevant local standards. Good understanding in equipment requirements for hazardous zoned areas accordance to IEC60079. Knowledge on IPF work processes (IEC61511/IEC 61508) Knowledge on CTM standard and practices. TuV certified Engineer Have experience in maintenance of Field Instrumentation in refinery. Have project experience (project development, detail engineering and execution) both Field Instrumentation and multi-disciplinary projects
Hengyuan Refining Company Berhad (formerly known as Shell Refining Company (Federation of Malaya) Berhad) (HRC) was incorporated in 1960. HRC was listed on the Main Board of the then Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (now known as the Main Market of Bursa Securities) in 1962. HRC\'s refining operations began in 1963 with a single crude distiller operating at a capacity of 20,000 barrels per day Today we are able to produce up to 120,000 barrels per day following several key debottlenecking and growth investments, making us the second largest refinery in Malaysia.
