Position Summary
The Service Engineer is responsible to perform Equipment Installation, Service and Repair for all ranges of STERIS Medical Equipment, including, but not limited to CSSD, OT and Procedure room products within Malaysia. Provide User Training and troubleshooting support, etc., in the Malaysia as required.
Duties
1. Perform equipment installations, preventive maintenance, and repair of equipment and products in the field as assigned
2. Interface with customers via customers visit/telephone/email to provide quality product support
3. Provide in-service session for the customers and conduct equipment and assist product clinical trials demonstrating applications with regards to systems, accessories and techniques
4. Provide applications/user/technical training
5. File product complaints according to procedure
6. Maintain preventive maintenance and troubleshooting and document accordingly
7. Document and update internal procedures
8. Prepare service contracts & quotations
9. Ensure a superior level of customer satisfaction with regard to after sales support
10. Perform other duties as assigned
11. Ensure maintaining install base & pm schedules
12. Assist Marketing/Sales team whenever required for sales/workshop/exhibition purposes
13. Willing to take additional responsibilities
14. Assist superior and involve in projects
15. Provide technical service support within designated region in Peninsular Malaysia and other regions when required
16. Willing to work on Saturday/Sunday & Public Holidays if required
17. Standby duties 24/7 as part of Service Team responsibilities

Education Degree
High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience
1. At least 3 years of hands-on technical service experience with medical equipment. Must be able to lift and carry 25 kg. Visual acuity and manual dexterity are necessary to manipulate tools and equipment to perform essential functions.
2. Minimum National Technical Certificate/Diploma in Engineering or equivalent required. Must be able to operate a computer, have a basic understanding of DOS and Windows, as well a basic understanding of Microsoft Office software packages, such as Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
3. Ability to read, write and speak fluently in English & Bahasa Malaysia is required.
4. Previous experience in conducting training programs for technicians and nurses is preferred. Must be customer orients and focused. Travels within Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah & Sarawak as assigned. Have own transport (Car) with valid driving licence.
