Purpose Statement To develop and maintain a feasible plan for hiring, training and management of personnel and to ensure quality issues, process and material flows are operated efficiently. Through his or her management style, the Supervisor actively demonstrates and propagates the core values of BSC. He or she is a strong team player and demonstrates this through the integration of key goals with appropriate other functions (e.g. Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Finance, R&D, HR etc.). About this Role As part of APAC Business Strategy, we are establishing a regional repair centre called \xe2\x80\x9cService Depot\xe2\x80\x9d in Penang, Malaysia, to accelerate our Capital Equipment (\xe2\x80\x9cCE\xe2\x80\x9d) growth across APAC. This is a customer-oriented role, responsible for regional technical support to capital equipment within Boston Scientific portfolio. You will be the subject matter expert in the products assigned to you in performing hands-on repair, maintenance, calibration, and technical solution to BSC service network. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiast of service delivery improvement as well as constantly looking at different ways to maximize ground efficiencies and deliver impeccable services. The successful candidate will also be offered opportunities within our regional call centre to participate and be part of our APAC Technical Assistance Center (TAC). Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to internal and external customers on all BSC\'s Capital Equipment and third party capital equipment distributed by BSC.
  • Perform service activities such as the maintenance, field action (repair at the hospitals), recalibration (routine maintenance or preventive maintenance), upgrade, and repair all of BSC\'s Capital Equipment and accessories in-house and in the field.
  • Operates programmable AC auto-tests, samplers, real-time oscilloscopes, pulse generators, meters, power supplies and special AC (alternate current) test fixtures
  • Reporting all service activities in approved Service Management Systems and meet key performance indicators
  • Train Field Service Engineers when needed in local countries and distributors networks and disseminate best practice sharing to reach competency level requirement.
  • Responsible for monitoring, organizing and maintaining personal trunk stock, tools & test measurement equipment and spare parts.
  • Responsible for customer satisfaction on BSC equipment performance and services.
  • Ensures awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific.
  • Analyze and assess product operation and make recommendations for optimal device management.
  • Collaborate with relevant functions for content management of knowledge platform.
  • Key stakeholders: Capital Equipment Manufacturing, Repair Operations, Manufacturing Engineering and any other internal customers as required.
  • Travel frequency: Occasional. Expected once a month for repair work at local hospitals when required

Good to have:
  • Medical equipment experience Experience with Service Management System such as: Salesforce, ServiceMax, SAP Service Module General knowledge and application of technical documents and diagram
Requirements Basic Requirements:
  • Fluent English speaking and writing skills
  • Education level: Min. bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in electronic, mechatronic, biomedical engineering or equivalent
  • Experience of electronic test debug, repair, and calibration experience
  • Experience in debug and repair based on electronic schematics
  • Knowledge of electronic test tools required (Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators) to component level including soldering / resoldering Flexible and representative attitude, customer service focused Computer literate, network knowledge required
  • Good social and communication skills
  • Creative thinking, innovative, logical, problem solver, multi-tasking
