The Final Inspector is responsible for performing detailed inspections of calibrated instruments and equipment to ensure they meet required specifications and industry standards. This role ensures the accuracy and completeness of calibration records and certificates, identifies and reports any non-conformities, and supports continuous quality improvements. The Final Inspector works closely with the QA team and other departments to ensure timely completion of inspections, compliance with quality and regulatory standards, and delivery of high-quality calibration services to clients.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct thorough final inspections of calibrated instruments and equipment.
Verify calibration results against specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Inspect equipment for proper labelling, documentation, and calibration certificates.
Review and verify the accuracy of calibration records, certificates, and reports.
Ensure that all inspection and calibration data is properly recorded and filed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Report discrepancies, non-conformities, or issues to the Quality Assurance Supervisor or Manager.
Assist in the preparation of quality control plans, inspection procedures, and protocols.
Participate in root cause analysis for any calibration failures or quality issues.
Support the development and continuous improvement of QA processes.
Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, etc.) during final inspections and calibrations.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements related to calibration procedures.
Assist in maintaining and calibrating QA and inspection tools and instruments.
Ensure calibration equipment is functioning correctly and performing periodic checks and adjustments as necessary.
Work closely with other departments, including operations, to ensure the timely completion of final inspections.
Coordinate with the calibration team for any rework or further adjustments needed on calibration units.
Provide feedback on process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and safety in calibration activities.
Participate in training and development programs related to quality assurance and calibration.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
The professional qualifications required and the experience necessary to effectively complete the responsibilities of this position.
Education:
Diploma in Quality, Engineering,or related field.
Experience in QA, calibration, or manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
Work Experience:
1 to 3 years of experience in quality inspection or QA in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and quality control systems.
Strong analytical, documentation, and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Proficiency in using calibration software and QA tools.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
Understanding of industry-specific regulatory requirements .
Awareness of health, safety, and environmental practices in technical lab settings.
