Introduction Our client is a group of companies engaged in hospitality industry, operating hotels & resorts across Asia-Pacific, Europe and Middle East. Currently they are actively looking for a qualified Accountant to assume the role of Finance & Accounts Manager for their business operations in Malaysia. Role & Responsibilities
Manage finance and accounts unit which include payment to merchants and vendors, interchange settlements and calculation of MDR, reconciliation and managing of bank accounts.
Lead the team within the finance & Accounts unit to ensure effective and efficient overall management functions of accounting, finance, management report, credit and treasury.
Ensure accurate and timely closure and submission of monthly/quarterly/annual management accounts, regulatory and statutory compliance report and preparation of annual financial statements.
Support monthly performance review, cash flow planning ,annual company and departmental forecast and budget, financial reports and detailed analysis.
Manage consolidation management accounts for the group of hotels.
The person
Malaysian, male or female.
Possess a bachelor degree in Accountancy or professional qualification ACCA/CIMA.
Minimum 3-5 years of work experience with at least 2 years in supervisory role.
Up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, consolidation, taxation and other regulatory financial reporting requirements.
Prior experience in hotel management would be an advantage.
Good understanding of MFRS,IRRS and tax rules in Malaysia.
Strong communication skills is necessary, especially in English.
