The company, a subsidiary of PLC has an immediate exciting opportunity for a qualified Accountant to be based at their corporate head office in Kuala Lumpur. They are seeking to recruit a qualified Accountant to assume the role of Finance and Administration Manager.
About the role
This is a full time permanent position, reporting directly to the General Manager.The role is to oversee and maintain accounting and financial requirements for the hotel business. The objective of the role is primarily responsible and running of the Finance Department,managing the management accounts and finance of the hotel business operations.
As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the management of financial and accounting activities and operations of the hotel. In this role, you will be responsible to supervise the finance team and ensure internal controls are upheld and maintained. As the head of finance and administration, your responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for managing the hotel accounts, financial analysis and financial statement, quarterly reporting.
• Responsible for the financial management of the company.
• Manage taxation, audit and all related matters.
• Evaluation and assessment of risk management.
• Preparing month end processes including journal entries,reports, balance sheets,analysis reports and commentary.
• Prepare and collating accurate and timely monthly and quarterly financial reports and manage payroll,profit & loss and revenue reports.
• Prepare weekly reporting for F&B restaurants, including budgets and forecasts, costing accounting.
• Preparation of annual budget and forecasts.
• Preparation of statutory accounts and support to annual and half year audit.

The candidate
To be successful for this role, candidates need to fulfill the following criteria:

• Malaysian male or female, preferably in age group 30-40
• A qualified accountant with qualification in Bachelor degree or ACCA/CIMA.
• Member of MIA.
• Significant commercial experience in managing finance and accounting functions

within hotel/hospitality,leisure or retail industry will be a plus.

• Advance level of competency in IT skills; familiar with Hotel PMS would be an advantage.
• Proficient in English,both verbal and written plus conversant in BM and Mandarin.
