Then read on.About the RoleThis position is responsible to perform GOE (general operating expenses) and CAPEX (capital expenditure) closing and reporting in accordance with established accounting standard and compliance with regulatory requirements.Responsibilities:

  • Perform timely and accurate month end closing for GOE (General Operating Expenses), CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) and Project Accounting.
  • Perform timely and accurate month end GOE Allocation by line of business (LOB).
  • Review GOE Accrual on monthly basis.
  • To ensure timely preparation of monthly GOE reporting and highlight to management for any unfavourable variances and abnormal expenses.
  • Conduct expense reporting and financial analysis including budget variance review, quality cost analysis and scenario analysis to facilitate decision making.
  • To ensure timely preparation of monthly CAPEX budget tracking report including review of Ariba\xe2\x80\x99s asset purchase requisition.
  • Preparation of monthly Project Spent tracking report and highlight to management for any unfavourable variances.
  • Effectively communicate, collect and consolidate cost information from internal collaborators and clarify on any variances regarding budget components.
  • Liaise with Group Office, external auditors and internal divisions on GOE and CAPEX related matters.
  • Identify improvement in workflow processes and update Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for month end closing, GOE Allocation by LOB, etc.
  • Perform other responsibilities periodically assigned by management.
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least an Accounting Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Accounting Qualification or currently pursuing Professional Accounting Qualification
  • Minimum 2 years relevant working experience. Experience working in Financial Services / Insurance will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advance Level), SAP accounting system would be an added advantage.
  • Highly committed and able to work independently within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Good presentation, analytical and problem solving skills.
