Responsibilities: 1.0 General Business Oversees the smooth and efficient operation of the department Ensure compliance with statutory authority and audit requirements Maintain integrity of Accounting system (SAP FICO), ensuring it remains effective and operational atall times Ensure all taxation and legislative requirements are comply with at all times Provide corporate secretarial support during General Shareholding meeting, company registrationand any key corporate meetings Maintain as key contact with company Corporation Group for Questionnaires and governmentauthorities for Statistics survey Work closely with stakeholders/line managers to ensure compliance with Finance and Accountingprinciple and procedure 2.0 Accounting & Finance Review and submit the monthly, half yearly and yearly accounting statements and reports to theManagement, and Consolidated Monthly Accounting packages (DIVA) to NC Ensure timely submission and accuracy of accounting and management reports Ensure that debtors are monitored and collections are consistent with company\'s time frames Ensure that end-of-year statutory accounts report is finalized by specified date and presented toDirectors 3.0 Internal Control Ensure that all finance and accounting activities are in compliance with Company Group Finance andAccounting Policy and Procedure (GFAPP) Organize and conduct internal audit for J-SOX compliance Promote and improve internal control environment 4.0 Asset Management Ensure the fixed asset register is managed, maintained, monitored and accurately accounted for On a monthly basis, ensure that general ledger is reconciled to the assets register 5.0 Budgeting Where required, provide relevant information and assistance with regards to the preparation ofbudgets in accordance with budget objectives and direction In conjunction with Division Director, ensure that business cash flow adequately supports companywork activities and produces optimal results Ensure approved capital expenditure budgets are adhered to at all times 6.0 Regulation and Statutory Compliance Ensure that all tax affairs must be fully compliant with the regulations. Perform specified element and collate information for review by external tax consultant for companytax return, or any ad-hoc questionnaires Review and enhance internal control process in view of J-Sox and/or Internal Control Audit (HQ)and ensure proper documentation Communicate with the respective auditors to ensure that the content of reports / tax declaration isaccurate Organize and conduct external audit for DIVA and statutory compliance 7.0 Staff Management Ensure that relevant information is communicated to direct reports enabling them to effectively carryout their role Delegate tasks to direct reports in line with their skills, knowledge and ability and where necessaryidentify skill gaps and training requirements Available as coach/mentor in assisting direct reports to develop in their positions where necessary Ensure all reasonable steps are taken to achieve workplace harmony within the department at alltimes 8.0 Other Responsibility Responsible for ad-hoc assignments and projects where required Requirements: Degree in Accounting / ACCA qualification At least 7 years of work experience as a Finance / Accounting Manager Highly proficient in SAP System Strong knowledge in accounting and tax and experience in financial statement and tax filing Ability to provide financial advice to business units Ability to manage people and lead team Ability to interpret financial data and develop good business analysis to support decision making Possess high level of communication and analytical skill An organized and detailed minded person with good sense of responsibility Excellent team player with an eye for details and positive attitude
