About the Role The position is responsible to support the Head of Finance and Operations on all aspects of accounting, finance and taxation functions for the Company and for the funds managed by the Company. Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Accounting, finance and taxation functions for the Company Responsible for the preparation of full set of accounts in SAP (with interaction with other applications such as ARIBA, Concur, GLMS (IFRS 16), etc.) Participate in any project enhancements of SAP / ARIBA / Concur led by the shared-services team including performing UAT test prior to implementation. Ensure bank reconciliation, invoices and receipts, accounts receivable and payables, accruals are performed in good order. Review of invoices, completeness supporting documents prior to processing. This shall include verify calculation of agent rewards, incentives, commissions, trailers fees. Prepare / Review payment instructions for all the dues for the Head of Finance & Operations / authorizers execution. Interact with fellow finance staff of the holding / related companies for inter-company billings. Prepare / Review daily fund transfer for the PRS funds from designated Collection Bank account to the respective Trust Fund on scheduled due date. Perform reconciliation of the Collection and Redemption Bank Account to ensure unmatched position is reconciled or refunded. Prepare cash planning fortnightly for discussion with Head of Finance & Operations for cashflow management and to invest any surplus fund and to monitor the maturity of the term deposits/ other investments. Coordinate with the Scheme Trustee and Private Mandate Client on billing of management fees and receipt of the payment thereto monthly. Ensure all monthly statutory payments i.e. payroll and human resources related, withholding tax are made within due dates. Prepare monthly financial close, quarterly and half yearly reporting for the Group timely for Head of Finance & Operations review. Perform tax computation - estimated tax payable, provision for tax and deferred taxation accounting entries. Assist the Head of Finance & Operations in the preparation of annual strategic plan. Collate data from services providers and re-populate the data into specific agreed format for compliance and Trustee review prior to online submission to the Securities Commission of Malaysia (monthly and periodically) within timeline. Interact with bank officers, tax agents, Company Secretary, and auditors on the related matters. Ensure corporate tax filings (including Transfer Pricing Document) and annual audit are completed within the stipulated due dates. Ensure proper and orderly filing of documents. 2. Accounting and Taxation for the Funds managed by the Company Perform daily update of cashflow for non-trades transactions in Bloomberg platform (such as transaction charges, fees payable, foreign exchange difference) to tally cash position in Bloomberg to the bank statement. Dealing with external service provider (fund accounting service) on day-to-day operating matters and to attend to the enquiries, if any. Perform test for any fluctuation in the value of investment securities of the funds and to ensure no material misstatement of the Net Asset Valuation of each fund by comparing data provided by the Service Provider against data extracted from Bloomberg. Ensure daily cashflow projection of the respective funds prepared by the fund accounting service provider is correct. Initiate payment of fees from the Trust Funds in collaboration with the Trustee. Liaise with Tax Agent of the respective Funds taxation matters and with Auditors in respect of audit matters. Collate information for preparation of Interim and Annual report of the funds for audit and publication in AIA PRS website within stipulated timeline. Prepare financial report for the private mandate in collaboration with the service provider for submission to the Client timely every month. 3. Other Tasks Assist the Head of Finance & Operations in preparation of Monthly Dashboard, Strategic budget, Board papers, periodic update of the Finance Policy and Procedures, periodic update of Internal Control Financial Report (ICFR), etc. Perform other ad-hoc assignments as the Head of Finance & Operations may assign from time to time. Minimum Job Requirements: Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting and/or Professional Accountancy Qualification and a member of the Malaysia Institute of Accountants At least 10 years\' finance and accounting experience, with initial exposure in audit and a minimum of 3 years in managerial position Good knowledge in Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards, Malaysian Companies Act, taxation and other regulatory reporting Ability to work independently, committed at work and responsible Strong analytical skill and attentive to details Good communication skill Strong spreadsheet skill Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
