The core responsibilities of the Finance Executive (Income Audit) are to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of cost control, storerooms, receiving and assist management in keeping the cost of food, beverage and other supplies to a minimum.

What will I be doing?

As the Finance Executive (Income Audit), you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

1) Audits the daily revenue figures, supporting reports and vouchers.

2) Ensures the relevant Front Office reports are printed, audited and filed.

3) Verifies transactions posted in the daily report, including but not limited to, credit cards, City Ledger, Paid Outs, Allowances, miscellaneous charges, all concessionaires sales.

4) Audit all city ledger billing to ensure completeness and accuracy.

5) Audits all concessionaire revenue to ensure accuracy.

6) Audits the Banquet event orders and makes sure every function statement is correct and corresponds to the banquet contract. Any changes need to be verified and authorized by the Banquet Manager.

7) To prepare weekly PM Accounts review for distribution to DBD, Credit Manager, DOS, FOM AFC/DOF. This is to ensure full compliance to credit policy.

8) Reviews all entertainment dockets and officers checks, ensuring that all are authorized and signed and as per P&P.

9) Audits the daily cash summary prepared by the General Cashier and records the summary in the General cashiers report. Cashier over/under must be recorded in the relevant reports and followed up with the outlet manager or reception manager with the results reported to the Director of Finance.

10) Spot checks docket prices with menu prices and ensure no guest check left unclosed after 5 hours from time of opening check.

11) Posts audited revenue to F&B monthly report.

12) Prepares Daily Statistics Report for the Director of Finance.

13) Checks that complimentary rooms are duly authorized and authenticity of complimentary upgrades.

14) Audits the telephone interface report.

15) Validates the Discount Voucher and checks the expiry date.

16) Spot checks cashier float counts. To ensure minimum 80% of all house banks are audited monthly and minimum of every house banks are audited minimum once quarterly.

17) Programs cash registers with new menu items and listings as advised by the Revenue Manager after duly completed and verified by Cost Controller.

18) Takes responsibility for the orderly keeping of restaurant dockets, spreadsheets, tip sheets, credit card vouchers, ERL Tickets and their timely replenishment.

19) To take monthly inventory of the ERL tickets to ensure physical stock balance ties to book balance.

20) To prepare Other Operating Department report, this includes Inter-hotel F&B cross charges between LMKL and HKL, Boutique Sales, Movie by Demand, DCC Commission and any other revenue stream as advised by AFC/DOF

21) To ensure daily service tax and service charge are calculated and posted accurately and ensure both accounts are reconciled both accounts monthly.

22) To provide Paymaster with service charge balance payroll purpose on the 20th or 21st of every month

23) To ensure service tax are reconciled prior to payment bi-monthly deadline (on or before 28th of every January, March, May, July, September, November)

24) To ensure full compliance of SOX audit on all Income related areas.

25) To assist Account Receivable to ensure full compliance of PCI:DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) for all credit card transactions.

26) Performs any reasonable additional task in order that the department functions smoothly.

27) Is flexible in relation to hours worked especially at month end and year end.

  • University Degree, preferably in Commerce, Accounting & Management or any other Accounting qualification.
  • Previous experience in a managerial operational accounting role.
  • Knowledge of cost control.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Mature and reliable person.
  • Able to lead, provide guidance and develop team members.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English to meet business needs.
