About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and motivated Finance Executive to join our team in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both transactional finance work and payroll/tax compliance. You will be responsible for accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), payroll administration, GST and tax reporting, and supporting month-end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities

Manage accounts receivable and payable: invoice processing, reconciliations, vendor payments, and debt follow-ups.
Perform bank reconciliations, journal postings, and ensure timely month-end closing.
Prepare and compile finance reports: AR/AP schedules, cash flow, and P&L analysis.
Handle end-to-end payroll processing: CPF, SDL, allowances, bonuses, and leave adjustments.
Ensure compliance with statutory submissions: IR8A, IR21, GST filings, and tax schedules.
Provide advisory support on payroll-related tax issues and liaise with auditors, tax agents, and IRAS.
Support ERP/HRIS systems and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Develop a deep understanding of the company's daily operational activities and workflows to better align financial practices with business realities.
Assist in audit preparation, budgeting, and ad-hoc financial projects.
Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2-5 years of relevant experience in finance and payroll, preferably in Malaysia and/or Singapore.
Familiarity with CPF, SDL, IRAS, GST, and Singapore and/or Malaysia Employment Act.
Proficient in accounting/payroll systems (Quickbooks, QuickHR, SAP, Sage, Workday, or equivalent) and MS Excel.
Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work under deadlines.
High integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

Competitive salary: RM3,000 - 5,000per month, depending on experience.
