As we grow across the region, we're strengthening our finance team in Malaysia to support multiple entities, cross-border operations, and fast-moving projects.
We're now looking for a
Finance Executive
who is meticulous, reliable, and excited to build solid finance processes in a creative, high-growth environment.
What You'll Do
You'll be responsible for the
full spectrum of finance operations
for our Malaysia entities, supporting regional consolidation with Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
1. Accounts Receivable (AR)
Prepare, issue, and record invoices for projects and services based on contracts, milestones, or deliverables.
Monitor collections and follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely payment.
Maintain AR aging schedules and flag long-outstanding balances for management.
Coordinate with project teams on correct billing, project tagging, and revenue recognition.
Support intercompany billings and reconciliations across regional entities.
2. Accounts Payable (AP)
Review and process supplier invoices, freelancer invoices, staff claims, and petty cash.
Prepare payment listings and process approved payments via online banking.
Maintain accurate AP ledgers and ensure timely payments to vendors and partners.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
Track recurring commitments (platform fees, rent, production costs, etc.).
3. Month-End Closing & Reporting
Prepare journals for accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and other adjustments.
Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile key balance sheet accounts (AR, AP, intercompany, fixed assets).
Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, supporting schedules) for Malaysia entities.
Investigate and explain significant month-on-month variances.
Assist the Finance Manager with group consolidation and reporting.
4. Banking, Treasury & Statutory Compliance
Maintain up-to-date bank reconciliations and monitor daily cash balances.
Assist in weekly cash flow forecasting and fund allocation.
Process supplier payments, intercompany transfers, and staff reimbursements.
Handle statutory submissions and payments (SST, CP204, PCB, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, etc.).
Coordinate with company secretary on annual returns and statutory filings.
Liaise with auditors and tax agents; prepare audit schedules and ensure proper documentation.
5. Process Improvement & Ad-hoc Support
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
Support automation, reconciliations, and financial data validation projects.
Assist in quarterly / year-end audits and intercompany reviews.
Provide ad-hoc accounting and administrative support to the Finance Manager.
Who You Are
We're looking for someone who's
hands-on, structured, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, creator-driven environment.
Must-haves:
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience handling
full sets of accounts
(AR, AP, month-end closing).
Good knowledge of Malaysian statutory compliance (SST, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, CP204, audit/tax submissions).
Proficient in accounting software (SQL or similar) and Excel/Google Sheets.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
Meticulous, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
Good communication skills and comfortable working with different teams (projects, production, regional).
Nice to have:
Experience in media, production, creator economy, or regional (multi-entity) setups.
Interest in how finance supports content, campaigns, and live-commerce projects.
