The Finance Executive (Treasury & Cash Management) is responsible for overseeing day-to-day treasury functions, managing cash flow, and ensuring effective liquidity management across the organization. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring fund movements, and optimizing working capital to support operational and strategic goals.
The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure sound financial practices and adherence to all statutory and internal control requirements.
Key Responsibilities
A. Treasury & Cash Flow Management
Monitor daily cash balances, incoming receipts, and outgoing payments to ensure sufficient liquidity.
Prepare daily and weekly cash flow reports and forecasts for management review.
Plan and execute payments for vendors, staff claims, and statutory obligations according to the approved payment schedule.
Oversee bank reconciliations and maintain accurate records of fund transfers, deposits, and withdrawals.
Manage petty cash disbursement and ensure timely replenishment and accurate recording.
Support in developing and maintaining cash flow models to project future liquidity requirements.
Ensure compliance with internal approval procedures and segregation of duties for all payments.
B. Financial Operations & Documentation
Record financial transactions in the accounting system accurately and in a timely manner.
Coordinate with other finance team members to ensure all receipts, payments, and transfers are properly supported and documented.
Prepare payment vouchers, bank-in slips, and remittance advices for management verification.
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial summaries and treasury reports for management and audit purposes.
Maintain accurate filing and digital records of all treasury-related documents for easy retrieval and compliance audits.
C. Vendor & Bank Relations
Liaise with banks for account maintenance, fund transfers, cheque management, and system access requests.
Support the Head of Department in maintaining positive working relationships with financial institutions.
Resolve payment discrepancies or banking issues promptly with vendors or bank representatives.
Assist in the evaluation and improvement of treasury processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
D. Compliance & Internal Control
Ensure all treasury activities comply with internal financial policies and statutory requirements.
Support the preparation of supporting schedules and reports for internal and external audits.
Assist in monitoring adherence to company financial policies, especially on fund authorization and payment approval limits.
Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling financial data and sensitive information.
E. General & Other Duties
Assist in the monthly closing process and cash flow reconciliation.
Support budgeting and forecasting exercises by providing relevant treasury data.
Contribute to the enhancement of internal control and reporting systems.
Perform other finance-related tasks as assigned by the Head of People & Finance Department or management.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
