We have a passion for growth, including investing in the development of our people.We support professionals looking for jobs with exceptional firms in the technology, construction, and engineering sectors.Airswift is seeking applicants for the role of Finance Intern to join the team in Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaRole DescriptionYou will transact the regional General Ledger operations, as well as ensuring that internal controls and policies are complied with. Reporting to the Assistant Finance Manager, you will play an integral part to support the close activities for the ASPAC entities ensuring timely and accurate accounting data entry to ensure financial integrity. Our aim is to provide value-added services and solutions that are flexible and tailored to the circumstances and needs of our clients.Principle Accountabilities:Financial Reporting

  • Delivering timely and accurate journal entries into bank accounts (cash book posting), General Ledger entries; checking data validity and data accuracy/verification before entries are taken up.
  • Preparation of reports and other documentation for Accountant in in charge as and when required.
  • Work closely with Accounting, Treasury, Credit Control, Accounts Payable, Payroll & Billing Teams to ensure accurate and prompt recording of the transactions in the accounting books.
  • Adhering to the statutory requirements and company guidelines.
  • Act as first level of escalation to the Line Manager; coordinate with team members for effective handling of operations support, data analysis and issue resolution.
Statutory Compliance
  • Assist the Accounting teamxe2x80x99s liaison with external auditors, tax agents, outsource service providers on statutory filings such as local audit, income and corporate tax filing queries etc.
Other Responsibilities
  • Proactive in supporting completion and successful implementation of ad hoc projects necessary to support business operations and expansion.
  • Keep up to date with process changes impacts and support preparation and maintenance of SOPs and reference materials.
  • Accountable for individual performance on productivity, agreed KPIs and internal team goals.
  • Priorities activities to achieve optimum efficiencies.
  • Assist with any other ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time by line manager.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
  • Degree in Accountancy/Finance.
  • Excellent communication skills, effective time and self-management and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple requests effectively within competing deadlines.
  • Able to identify issues, problems and opportunities; suggest appropriate and innovative solutions; and ask for assistance, if required.
  • Intermediate user of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
