Finance Manager
to oversee and support our financial operations across multiple markets.
This is a
remote role based in Kuala Lumpur
, with occasional in-person meetings (approximately once a week) with local or regional team members. You'll take charge of day-to-day finance functions, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide insights that drive operational and strategic decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Operations & Compliance
Oversee day-to-day finance operations: bookkeeping, payments, monthly close, payroll coordination, and cash flow monitoring.
Work with outsourced accounting firms in Singapore, Malaysia, UK, and US to ensure timely filings and compliance (GST, VAT, corporate tax).
Support preparation of year-end audited accounts and ensure accurate reporting across entities.
Financial Planning & Analysis
Assist with financial planning, budgeting, and tracking of spend against project and operational goals.
Monitor financial performance and provide insights to improve efficiency and support decision-making.
Support grant reporting and R&D tax claims where applicable.
Controls & Process Improvement
Maintain and strengthen financial controls and internal documentation.
Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline financial operations and reporting.
Collaboration & Support
Liaise with the CEO and team leads to support commercial and operational planning.
Assist with vendor contracts, procurement tracking, and inventory management processes.
Support investor reporting, financial models, and board-level reporting.
REQUIREMENTS
ACCA / CA / CPA qualification (or in progress).
5-8 years of relevant experience in finance/accounting.
Solid understanding of cross-border accounting and tax compliance.
Highly organized, independent, and detail-oriented.
Proficient in Excel and accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks).
Strong communication skills and comfortable working with remote teams.
Bonus if you have:
Experience in a startup or scaling environment.
Exposure to MedTech, healthtech, or hardware products.
Familiarity with ISO 13485 or regulated industry processes.
