Role Description
Summary/Objective:
We are looking for a Credit Manager who is responsible for overseeing the company's credit policies, assessing customer creditworthiness, and managing the full credit control cycle to ensure healthy cash flow and minimal financial risk. The Credit Manager role leads the evaluation of credit applications, monitors outstanding accounts, and implements effective collection strategies. The Credit Manager also collaborates closely with internal teams to support sustainable business growth while maintaining strong credit governance and compliance with all financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full credit control function to ensure timely collections and strong cash flow.
Assess and approve credit applications based on financial reviews and company policies.
Set and maintain credit policies, limits, and payment terms to minimise risk.
Monitor customer payment trends and maintain relationships for timely settlements.
Review debtor aging, overdue accounts, and credit exposure, and drive recovery efforts.
Collaborate with sales, finance, and operations to resolve credit issues and disputes.
Prepare monthly credit reports, risk assessments, and collection updates for management.
Ensure compliance with credit policies, regulations, and best practices.
Handle legal escalations, including reminders, demand letters, and coordination with legal counsel.
Improve credit control processes, systems, and reporting tools.
Guide and support the credit control team to ensure strong performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or similar are an advantage).
Minimum 5 years of experience in credit control, credit risk, or accounts receivable, preferably with supervisory or managerial exposure.
Strong knowledge of credit analysis, collection strategies, and debtor management.
Proven ability to interpret financial statements and assess creditworthiness.
Excellent negotiation skills with a firm yet customer-focused approach.
Prior experience in the F&B, retail or service industry is highly desirable.

Pay: RM6,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
