Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including profit & loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures
Conduct financial analysis and variance reporting
Compliance & Regulatory
Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards (MFRS/FRS)
Prepare and file statutory returns including SSM annual returns
Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants
Maintain proper documentation for audit trails
Budgeting & Cost Control
Assist in annual budget preparation and quarterly reviews
Monitor operational costs and implement cost control measures
Analyze contract profitability for security service agreements
Track equipment and uniform inventory costs
General Accounting
Maintain general ledger and subsidiary ledgers
Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow
Process invoicing for clients and track payment collections
Handle petty cash management and expense reporting
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent)
Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience
Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations
Technical Skills
Proficiency in accounting software
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Familiarity with GST/SST regulations
