Looking for an experienced Finance Officer for a UK MNC company based in KL. Your new company An exciting, commercially focused and known to be one of the most established UK-based education and training company, with a head office in Kuala Lumpur. If you think you are exceptional and enthusiastic in full-sets of finance operations with good foundation in tax and audit and good articulation in English with some regional exposures, high chance you could be the one we are looking for! Your new role On a day-to-day basis you will be liaising with internal colleagues and external stakeholders (including company regulators) both in the region and in the UK. You will provide all the usual finance support maintenance of financial data & systems, month-end reporting, budget management, audit control, tax compliance, banking and payroll support. Supported by external advisers you will be responsible for company law compliance in Malaysia and for Hong Kong. You will also provide legal support and support ad hoc requests. Day-to-day tasks include: Preparation of financial reports related to budgets, AP, AR and expenses Maintaining accurate general ledgers, accounting records, journals and reconciliations Managing the month-end and year-end closure processes Preparation of financial statements and coordination with auditors Managing revenue collection processes Overseeing budget preparation, cost control and cash flow management Preparing taxation submissions Fulfilling company secretarial matters in conjunction with legal department Maintaining strong financial control Supporting additional supplier, customer, employee and contract processes as required Ad hoc projects as required What you\'ll need to succeed At least a Degree in Accounting a member of professional body Minimum 5 years of relevant experience Should be okay with yearly contract-basis role renewed yearly Preferably candidates from MNC background IFRS knowledge preferred Audit and tax experience preferred Strong proficiency in Excel Able to work independently and strong problem solving skills Good articulation in English What you\'ll get in return Build a solid portfolio in a stable growing MNC company Opportunity in career progression.
