Job Description

Job Responsibilities



Financial Operations & Reporting

Oversee daily financial transactions, including inventory and WIP reconciliations, ensuring accurate recording in the General Ledger (GL). Review and verify debit notes (DN), credit notes (CN), and reports submitted by the Accounts Receivable (AR) team. Approve purchase requisitions in accordance with company policies and internal controls. Prepare month-end closing schedules, pre-closing reports, and journal entries to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register, covering acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation. Prepare Fixed Asset listings, prepayment schedules, and reconcile operational job orders. Prepare monthly salary reports and ensure timely submission.

Foreign Exchange & Treasury

Perform foreign exchange revaluation programs for unrealized forex transactions. Prepare forex summary reports for realized transactions and generate R1 Reports (MYR, USD, RMB).

Management & Financial Reporting

Prepare monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis and commentary. Develop and update Profit & Loss (P&L) master files, balance sheet schedules, and Operating Committee (OC) presentation materials. Provide financial insights and performance reviews to support management decision-making.

Audit & Tax Compliance

Prepare audit documentation, liaise with external auditors, and review draft audit reports. Coordinate with tax agents, review tax computations, and ensure compliance with tax regulations. Prepare Withholding Tax documentation and support statutory and regulatory reporting requirements. Provide relevant documentation and support for additional or ad-hoc audit requests.

Job Requirements



Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA are preferred. Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity. Strong understanding of accounting standards (IFRS/MFRS), taxation principles, and audit requirements. Hands-on experience in financial reporting, month-end closing, and fixed asset management. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent). Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage tight deadlines. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in Mandarin will be an added advantage.

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM14,000.00 per month
