Job Description

The Finance Manager will oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role requires strong expertise in accounting and finance within the manufacturing sectors.

• Perform annual group consolidation for the holding company and subsidiaries in Malaysia and Indonesia, ensuring completeness and elimination of intercompany transactions.
• Submit consolidation packages to the holding company in Germany and liaise with auditors on related inquiries.
• Analyse monthly balance sheet and profit & loss fluctuations, collaborating with departments to provide detailed explanations.
• Review team commentaries with insightful and creative perspectives, ensuring timely monthly closing and highlighting process weaknesses.
• Oversee receivables and payable aging reviews.
• Improve product costing procedures and accuracy, analyse impacts, and propose cost control initiatives.
• Prepare and review tax estimates (CP204 & CP204A), annual tax computations, and liaise with tax agents.
• Understand and advise on Sales & Service Tax (SST), E-Invoicing, transfer pricing documentation, and potential government tax incentives.
• Review monthly cash flow forecasts, manage banking relationships, and propose forex hedging strategies, including for Indonesian subsidiaries.
• Manage and develop a team of 5, ensuring training and exploring automation opportunities within functions.
• Perform additional duties as required by the Regional Finance Manager.

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with relevant professional qualifications.
• At least 8 years of working experience, either from audit or commercial background. Coming from a manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience in the industrial or manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and budgeting tools.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage a team effectively.
