The incumbent shall be responsible for all accounting matters including reporting and other related duties as required for the operation of the Finance Department.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To assist the Chief Financial Controller in the overall financial management of the Group/Hospital and financial strategy specifically for the implementation of systems and controls.
2. To ensure the Hospital observes all statutory, regulatory and other reporting requirements of the shareholders.
3. To collates, compiles and prepare the financial, statistical data from various sources for preparation of relevant, reliable and timely management / statutory reports.
4. To participate in the annual budgeting process to ensure expeditious completion of the process.
5. To provide guidance to the Credit Control Department to ensure effective credit control system is in place at all times.
6. To liase with the internal/external auditors, tax consultant, bankers and company secretary to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
7. To oversee the cash planning of the hospital including refund procedures to the patient.
8. To ensure company policies, procedures and statutory legal requirement within the jurisdiction of Finance Department are complied with by all department.
9. To develop and approve policies and procedures for all relevant functions e.g. admissions desk, reservations section, patient billing and cashiers.
11. To lead the Tender Committee, and exercise budgetary control on Capex items.
12. To undertake any other duties as assigned by the Chief Financial Controller.
Job Specification
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION:
Degree in Accountancy or Professional qualifications (MACPA/ACCA/CIMA). Registered with MIA.
SKILL(S) & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum 3 years of working experience in a managerial position with experience in planning, preferably in a similar environment.
Familiar with Bursa listing rule on quarterly and annual report and have experience in attending board meeting and annual AGM.
Some treasury and banking and M&A working experience is added advantage and
OTHER ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT(S):
Knowledge of computerized accounting.
Good leadership quality, analytical mind, result oriented, service minded, independent and has high integrity.
