SynVista Energy is expanding our manufacturing footprint in Malaysia, and we're looking for a

hands-on Finance Manager

with

new plant set-up experience

. This is a rare, high-impact opportunity to

build the entire finance function from 0 to 10

-- systems, processes, controls, and strategy -- for a fast-growing renewable energy company. No existing team, maximum ownership.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Financial Reporting & Compliance

Prepare monthly/annual financial statements and ensure regulatory compliance. Manage audits and establish strong financial control frameworks.

2) Build-from-Scratch Plant Finance Operations

Set up all finance processes, SOPs, and internal controls for a new manufacturing site. Establish cost tracking, inventory accounting, capex controls, and operational finance workflows.

3) Microsoft Dynamics Implementation

Lead the implementation and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics for the Malaysia plant. Train cross-functional teams and improve automation and reporting accuracy.

4) Budgeting & Financial Analysis

Develop budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial models. Monitor variances and provide insights to drive profitability and efficiency.

5) Plant Operations & Cost Management

Oversee production costs, inventory levels, and capex performance. Partner with operations on cost-saving initiatives and supply chain decisions.

6) Cash Flow & Treasury

Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships.

7) Leadership & Collaboration

Work closely with operations, procurement, and senior management. Build and develop a finance team as the plant scales.

Requirements:

Degree in Finance/Accounting; CPA/ACCA/CFA preferred. 7+ years in financial management, ideally in manufacturing or plant operations.

Strong experience in new plant or factory set-up (0-1 or 0-10 environments).

Expertise in cost accounting, management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics; implementation experience is a plus. Experience working with Malaysia and China business environments is an advantage. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Bilingual in English and Mandarin.
