The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's overall financial management, reporting, budgeting and compliance activities. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records, provides strategic financial insights to support business decision-making and ensures adherence to regulatory standards including MIA requirements where applicable.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare Group Financial Accounts and ensure full compliance with the latest Financial Reporting Standards.
Analyze financial management accounts and prepare performance reports, insights and recommendations for the Board of Directors or Management.
Identify areas of underperformance and propose appropriate corrective actions.
Address and resolve queries from business units and corporate teams on all matters related to accounting and finance.
Advise on and prepare proposals for fund-raising or capital-raising exercises, including compliance with listing requirements.
Identify financial and operational risks within business units and recommend mitigation actions.
Prepare short-term and long-term budgets and forecasts to support strategic business planning.
Develop and drive strategic financial plans to support business growth, working closely with relevant business units.
Establish, implement, and monitor SOPs to ensure compliance with Bursa Malaysia listing requirements.
Assess the feasibility of new business opportunities and lead related campaigns or project teams where required.
Handle ad hoc projects and tasks assigned by Management.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or MIA membership is preferred / required (based on company policy).
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in accounting software (SQL, SAP, Oracle, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Good understanding of Malaysian accounting standards, taxation, and compliance.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
