Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial management roles.
• Strong knowledge of Financial Planning & Analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial reports in compliance with Accounting Principles.
• Experience in establishing and maintaining strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team, including performance management and professional development.
• Excellent communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin, both written and verbal.
• SAP hands-on experience is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to develop realistic and achievable financial plans aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and trend analysis, to identify areas for improvement and provide actionable insights to management.
• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Establish and maintain a strong internal control environment to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure the integrity of financial information.
• Manage the company's cash flow, including monitoring cash balances, forecasting cash needs, and optimizing cash management strategies.
• Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure their professional development and contribution to the company's success.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations, including the preparation and filing of tax returns, and proactively identify tax planning opportunities to minimize the company's tax burden.
• Drive process improvements and system enhancements (SAP exposure is an advantage).
