Position Description:

Job Summary
IT Asset Management (ITAM) Team aims to provide support to Finance functions of the highest quality to deliver the expected business values of CGI and ensure that onshore clients remain involved to meet their expectations and needs.

As a member of the ITAM Team, the Specialist will provide support to the onshore clients by ensuring excellent delivery of services. He or she will be responsible for the completion of tasks in a timely, reliable and accurate manner that meets the project\xe2\x80\x99s criteria but within the allocated budget of the projects serviced by the team.

Your future duties and responsibilities:


Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities as ITAM Finance Specialist are as follows:
Provide support to the onshore clients and be responsible for the various tasks and reports including Service Level Agreement (SLA), if any, agreed between the ITAM team and the onshore clients:

  • Act as primary contact for client inquiries, requests, and ad hoc activities
  • Generate high-quality project management reports on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis
  • Provide Project Financial Management support e.g. FYF Reporting and Analysis, Monthly Closing/Accruals, etc.
  • Provide PMO support e.g. Financial Reporting, Financial report extracts, Quality of Data/Report, Improvements/Automation, etc.
  • Prepare administrative reports and perform other functions as may be required by the management
  • Initiate improvements and share best practices
  • Coach and mentor junior members of the team
  • Follow up open questions and deadlines, listen actively, recognize errors, and able to identify missing documents/information independently
  • Subject matter expertise with the outmost ability to resolve process-related issues
  • Attend process-related meetings with Business Units and onshore counterparts, and conduct cross-functional trainings as necessary
  • Perform other functions as may be required by the Operational Lead and/or Manager.

Other Tasks:
  • Develop a good working relationship with the PMs and/or onshore counterparts and colleagues

General Responsibilities
Your general responsibilities as ITAM Finance Specialist are as follows:
1. Understand the learning objectives and skills required to execute the project tasks assigned to you;
2. Plan your tasks according to the project objectives and produce deliverables expected of you ensuring completeness, timeliness, adherence to quality and with high regard to customer satisfaction;
3. Proactively manage risks, issues, constraints and assumptions for your tasks;
4. Immediately report project and/or team related concerns, issues and risks to the Operations Lead or via appropriate forums like team meetings;
5. Follow the project escalation process to address critical items and help, resolve or escalate project issues, as necessary;
6. Provide regular and up to date status reports of your assigned tasks or projects to the Operations Lead;
7. Establish and maintain good working relationship within the team and the onshore counterparts which may require attending team buildings, general assembly, company parties and other team/company initiated activities to develop camaraderie of the team;
8. Be innovative and take initiatives in learning the skills required for the project;
9. Ensure the availability during the business hours whether in the office or offsite;
10. Attend all planning, status, escalation and other project meetings like regular conference calls / meetings with appropriate individual or team to clarify issues;
11. Identify any opportunities to improve procedures, which will enable the team to provide better service or will reduce the effort required to deliver the service. Raise these ideas or insights to the Operations Lead;
12. Create and maintain your agreed objectives / Personal Development Plans (PDPs) which are duly approved by your line manager;
13. Prepare and submit weekly attendance, utilization tracker and timesheets;
14. Ensure compliance to the CGI Management Foundation and other defined standards.

Administrative
  • Adherence to all company mandated responsibilities.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:


Job Requirements

Geographic Location
  • No specific location required.

Qualifications/Education
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Accountancy or Finance or any related business field
  • Mandarin-English communication (oral and written)

Experience
  • With minimum 2-3 years of Accounting and/or Finance work experience;
  • Knowledge in using Tools such as SNOW (PPM), SAP Ariba and Coupa in an advantage;
  • Proficient in MS Excel (intermediate to advanced) and PowerPoint; experience in Macro VBA is an advantage;
  • Proficient in different Project Management Office activities such as Data Analysis, Delivery Assurance and other Administrative tasks;
  • Keen into details when it comes to the quality of work (data, reports and deadlines) Oracle background and familiarity on Windows programs;
  • Proficient in using CGI Tools such as MWS, PSA, and the likes.
