Job Description


An exciting Finance SSC Manager (Hybrid) job has just become available at one of the retail MNCs based in Kuala Lumpur. Reporting to the Regional FC, you will be a part of the dynamic team. About the Finance SSC Manager (Hybrid) Role:
In this position, you will play a key role in the design, launch and steady state operations of the finance SSC in Malaysia supporting the SEA and pacific region. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the launch and operations of a finance shared services centre serving the South East Asia region
  • Monitor and control good finance quality and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including preparing journal entries and review accounting classifications for month-end and year-end closing
  • Review accounting transactions and ensure that all transactions are processed properly and accurately according to US GAAP and local statutory reporting requirements and ensure compliance with local business tax/permit and internal policy requirements
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
  • Control submission of withholding tax and CIT to the revenue department on time
  • Supervise the team for month-end closing, assist in development and implementation of new procedures and processes to enhance the accounting workflows
  • Liaise with internal and external auditor, revenue department and other related authorities
To succeed in the Finance SSC Manager (Hybrid) role, you will need to have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in accounting
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in a leadership position
  • Good knowledge of taxation and accounting standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience with SAP is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively balance financial and operational factors and analyse complex business problems to develop appropriate solutions in a timely and responsive manner
  • Good business acumen and internal function team orientation, highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, a proactive mindset, able to perform with minimal supervision, and demonstrated ability to work under pressure and deliver within deadlines
