We provide accurate and timely financial information meeting the company's regulatory and fiduciary responsibilities with unwavering integrity. Partners with the businesses to ensure that the capital strategies are operationally supported and strategically focused to secure the greatest return on investment for the global company. Gathers financial data and performs financial analyses and reporting (e.g., profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow, pricing, etc.) to influence decisions within the business and to drive cross-business initiatives (e.g., Mergers & Acquisitions). Drives the forecasting process (weekly, monthly, and long term) by analyzing trends within the businesses and ensuring alignment with business- and corporate-wide objectives. Communicates and drives adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the organization's financial goals and policies. Has the fiduciary responsibility to represent financial results correctly both internally and externally. Ensures strong business controls. Prepare accounts Reconciliation - High Complexity and High SOX Risk accounts. Review accounts Reconciliation - Low & Medium Complexity accounts. Gain full understanding of account being reconciled and raise any issues to Manager for immediate remediation. v. Monitor compliance around HPE Accounting and Financial Manual (AFM) and SOX404 Controls. Ensure timely reconciliation of GL accounts as per Corporate guidelines. Ensure outstanding items from reconciliation are cleared within stipulated timeframe. Ensure strict compliance to the Accounting standards for both US GAAP and Local GAAP. Comply with the concurrent Quality audits, implement the improvements and remediation suggested by the Quality teams Analyze and review supported balance above 360 days. Prepare Balance Sheet Review - Tier 1 & Tier 2 countries Ageing analysis: Categorizing the account balance based on transactional ageing. Identify potential P&L exposure to write-off/write-back on aged items. Details explanation: Drill down of account balance by various dimensions such as by customer, by business area or by supplier. Identify Top contributors for potential balance sheet effectiveness and opportunities for enhancing cash flow. Flux explanation: Narratives explaining movement of account balance from the previous quarter to the current quarter. Explain the business drivers contributing to the movement, responses to the 'why' there is a Flux Balance Sheet Accounts reviews of all the entities within the country or region and reporting any anomalies or risk identified. Identify opportunity to improve process underlying the review of the balance sheet accounts. vi. Identify potential balance sheet misclassifications. . Identify system or human errors Journal Entry (JE) postings to the HPE system S4 environment Preparation of account analysis to ensure accuracy of JE bookings and JE Approval Preparing year-end journal entries, adjusting entries and accruals. Support the preparation of year-end financial reports and statements. Assistance to local Controllership in annual local GAAP year-end audit. Support to local Controllership and local audit activities with internal and external auditors & CFR Support Taking part in other tasks and projects indicated by the management. Provide expertise to the team Identify areas of improvement and possible standardization for various business cases. Handle first level escalation and Work closely with the core team on operational topics. Perform and support audit and other ad hoc requests. Support Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Provide regular Inputs to update the Account Profile. Aware and implement AFM changes, Comply with HPE Record Retention guidelines and complete all recommended Mandatory trainings First level university degree with a focus in business or economics recommended or equivalent experience. Typically 2+ years of experience as a financial analyst. May have experience in more than one finance function. Join us and make your mark!
