Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of management accounts and annual financial statements based on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for foreign companies.
• Interpreting and complying with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirement.
• Drives an accurate and timely close of financial statements.
• Coordinate with various departments and perform analysis for all technical accounting problems in compliance with proposed and existing legislation.
• Ongoing liaising with all key stakeholder groups including business units to resolve accounting issues arising.
• Managing external accounting firm for local language book-keeping.
• Manage communications with external auditors on financial statements and accounting issues to ensure the auditor agreement with the Company decisions on accounting disclosures and issues.
• Work closely with internal Tax Department to support periodic/annual tax filing.
• Provide consulting services to internal business partners for financial reporting requirement.
• Preparing for and assisting in tax audit.
• Manage ad hoc projects and assist management on all accounting activities.
• Minimum travel required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Accounting or equivalent at a minimum.
• Chartered Accountant with at least 4 years of experience with audit firm.
• Possessing previous statutory audit experience in a big 4 CPA firm is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and good internal control concepts.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
• Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, multi tasker and independent.
• Excellent organization skills, project management skills, leadership skills and strong communication skills including both written and verbal.
