Celestica is looking for a best in class Site Controller to replace the current incumbent.

The site is at an important juncture which makes this an opportune time to join! Celestica is investing in a new campus to expand our footprint across our Advanced Technology and Cloud-Connectivity businesses. The Site Controller will support in helping the site to scale while ensuring fiduciary responsibility for the GBS center (shared services) in Penang.

The Site Controller is a passionate, and engaging Leader who understands how to partner with the business, constructively challenge the status quo, and develop the next generation of Finance professionals. The incumbent would have experience with international manufacturers, and have had exposure to a global network of sites to leverage best practices.

The position is based in Kulim and reports into the Asia Regional Controller, with dotted line into the Site General Managers

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND SKILLS

Key accountabilities include:

1. Strong FP&A and controllership skills and an ability to perform tasks including but not limited to:

• Being a Strategic Business Partner to the Site GM\'s & the rest of their leadership teams, advising on key business decisions around customers, supply chain operations, investments, business models, tax optimization, driving productivity & efficiency among others.
• Managing activities associated with the financial planning process, reporting and advice on Finance, Control and Administration (including tax, treasury, insurances and audit) and taking overall responsibility for planning, budgeting, implementing and maintaining costs at the site.
• Insightful and accurate financial analysis including providing an overview of the financial implications of decisions, product pricing, and profitability.
• Reviewing, analyzing and interpreting financial and budgetary information as well as making decisions on finance related operational and administrative matters at the site.
• Coordinating and consolidating order forecasts, revenue forecasts, manufacturing and operations costs for multi-year timeframes.
• Simplifying and improving existing processes as well as developing new processes to continually improve overall quality.

2. Knowledge of technical accounting and ideally an understanding of IFRS, Malaysian GAAP & Tax.

3. Providing leadership by: * Managing financial and accounting personnel within the department.

• Staffing, assigning work, reviewing performance and addressing performance issues; where appropriate providing coaching and development.
• Developing policies, procedures and controls to provide work direction.
• Developing the finance team and hiring new team members as appropriate

KEY COMPETENCIES

At Celestica, finance is not a standalone function, but it is integrated into the broader business. The ideal candidate must therefore not only be an operationally focused individual. He or she must bring multiple skill sets to this position including traditional finance skills, a commercial mindset, business integration, stakeholder management, and people leadership. He or she will also have the confidence and gravitas to \'speak up\' and challenge when appropriate. Importantly, he or she will be a senior and trusted discussion partner to the Site General Manager and broader leadership team at the site.

The Site Controller shall demonstrate these competency areas:

• Strong finance skills and knowledge around accounting standards
• Business Controlling mind set and hands-on experience
• Process and results driven orientation
• Hands-on with an ability to roll up their sleeve and delve into detail
• Strong and assertive communication skills with an open and transparent style
• Natural leader with an ability to identify, motivate and mentor talent, to build a strong and sustainable finance team as well as be a partner to the business

Bachelor\'s degree. Accounting designation recommended

10-12 years of applicable applicable experience and is in a Senior Management role

Breadth of knowledge is an asset.

Site & Supply Chain experience & MNC exposure is strongly recommended.
