Job Summary

The Financial Controller will oversee all financial activities of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment with business goals. This role requires strong leadership to manage the finance team, optimize financial processes, and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making for a 300-employee organization.

Key Responsibilities

1) Financial Management & Reporting:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) in compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to track performance against targets.

Present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders with actionable insights.

2) Team Leadership:

Manage and mentor the finance team (e.g., accountants, AP/AR specialists) to ensure efficient operations.

Foster cross-department collaboration to align financial strategies with business objectives.

3) Cash Flow & Treasury:

Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure financial stability.

Oversee banking relationships, tax planning, and risk management.

Compliance & Controls:

Ensure adherence to local/global financial regulations and internal policies.

Implement robust internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.

4) Process Improvement:

Streamline financial systems (e.g., ERP, payroll) to enhance efficiency and scalability.

Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives.

5) Strategic Support:

Partner with executives to evaluate investments, cost-saving opportunities, and growth strategies.

Support audits, due diligence, and M&A activities as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA/CMA/MBA preferred. Experience: 8+ years in finance/accounting, with 3+ years in a leadership role

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
