Financial Controller

(also known as a

Finance Controller

Financial Manager

) is a senior-level accounting and finance professional responsible for overseeing all financial activities within an organization.

1. Role Summary

The Financial Controller manages the company's accounting operations, ensures compliance with financial regulations, and provides accurate financial reporting to support strategic decision-making. They typically report to the CFO, Managing Director, or CEO.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Financial Management

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Maintain accurate general ledger and oversee all accounting functions. Manage budgeting and forecasting processes. Analyze financial data and provide variance analysis. Oversee cash flow, working capital, and treasury management.

B. Compliance and Audit

Ensure compliance with statutory and tax requirements (e.g., SSM, LHDN, and audit standards in Malaysia). Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and banks. Implement internal controls and accounting policies.

C. Strategic Planning

Support senior management in financial planning and investment decisions. Monitor project or departmental budgets and financial KPIs. Conduct cost-benefit analysis for new projects, expansions, or capital expenditures.

Pay: RM3,723.76 - RM5,000.00 per month
