You will assist to drive the Financial Lines portfolio that contributes to the segments and department\'s overall business development growth and profitability especially for Directors and Officers Liability, Professional Indemnity and Medical Malpractice.What you will do:
\xc2\xb7 Responsible for underwriting of insurance products within the portfolio of the Financial Lines business, such as Directors and Officers Liability, Professional Indemnity and Medical Malpractice.
\xc2\xb7 Drives new business in Financial Lines Middle market & small commercial segment and ensure strong retention ratio & rate adequacy.
\xc2\xb7 Evaluate, accept or reject risk submissions in accordance with Chubb Underwriting Guidelines and Authority Level. Risk needs to be referred in accordance where necessary.
\xc2\xb7 Maintains close rapport and relationship with intermediaries/producers to obtain necessary underwriting information, promote satisfactory service relationship and to encourage the submission of targeted business.
\xc2\xb7 Interact closely with other core functions/stakeholders (i.e Regional office, Local management, Distribution Channels, Claims, Operations and Finance etc)
\xc2\xb7 Conduct product trainings and trainings on knowledge and skills
\xc2\xb7 Identify segment opportunities and execute cross-sell, up-sell within existing business and targeted industries.
\xc2\xb7 Ensure underwriting efficiency and discipline to turnaround quote and timely update of applicable systems.
\xc2\xb7 Coordinates with the support team to ensure valid and timely response on production of policies, endorsements, certificates, and other administrative requirements.
\xc2\xb7 Performing peer review audits.
\xc2\xb7 Performs special projects and other related duties as assigned.Qualifications:What you will need:
\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s Degree, or comparable Business Degree
\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated underwriting ability and technical competence as evidenced by a minimum of 3 to 5 years\' professional experience at Underwriter level or equivalent industry experience.
\xc2\xb7 Effective communication & interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, brokers, agents & Chubb personnel.
\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to evaluate and judge underwriting risks within designated authority.
\xc2\xb7 Relevant Insurance qualifications (AMII, ACII) or equivalent are a plus.
