Company Background: A MNC provide custom Automated Material Handling System (AMHC) to high-technology industry
Location: Bayan Lepas, Penang
Position: Firmware Engineer
Headcount: 1
Tenure: Permanent
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Responsible for firmware/embedded software
2. Conduct feasibility study, design, implementation, testing and maintenance
3. Develop and test new ideas for product improvement
4. Actively participate in cross function team such as the mechanical and electronic team
5. Evaluate, test, and review the program before release to production.
Requirements
Education/Experience:
1. Diploma / degree in electronic and electrical or computer science
2. Min 1 year in related field
3. Good technical and analytical skill with ability to work under minimum supervision
4. Proficient in C/C++ language
5. Knowledge of RTOS implementation
6. Understand basic hardware communication protocol such as UART, I2C, SPI, USB, and Ethernet.
Knowledge:
1. Machine sequence and basic driver implementation
2. Understand hardware register access and how to interact with them
3. Knowledge of how to debug hardware communication protocols
