Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Group Fitness Instructor to join our team at GYMX. As a Group Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-energy group fitness classes to our members. You will contribute to creating a positive and motivating environment that helps individuals achieve their fitness goals. Responsibilities:

  • Design and lead group fitness classes in a variety of formats, such as cardio, strength training, HIIT, or specialized classes based on your expertise.
  • Develop well-structured and safe exercise routines that cater to participants of different fitness levels and abilities.
  • Provide clear instructions and proper technique demonstrations to ensure participants perform exercises correctly and avoid injuries.
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that encourages member participation, fosters a sense of community, and motivates individuals to reach their fitness goals.
  • Provide modifications and alternatives for exercises to accommodate participants with different needs or limitations.
  • Monitor participant progress, provide ongoing encouragement, and offer fitness advice and support as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest fitness trends, industry research, and certifications to continuously improve your skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the workout area and equipment, promptly reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Attend regular meetings and training sessions to stay informed about gym policies, updates, and class schedule changes.
  • Promote the gym\'s services, classes, and programs to members and assist in member retention efforts.
Qualifications:
  • Certified Group Fitness Instructor with a nationally recognized certification (e.g. FITM or equivalent.
  • Previous experience teaching group fitness classes, preferably in a gym or fitness studio setting.
  • Strong knowledge of exercise techniques, proper form, and safety guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiasm for fitness and a passion for helping others achieve their health and wellness goals.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire individuals with diverse fitness levels and backgrounds.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality classes.
  • Additional certifications or specialties (e.g., Zumba, Pilates, TRX, Kickboxing) are a plus.
