Job Description


Job Summary The Fleet Manager is responsible for planning, directing, managing, coordinating and supervising the programs for acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement and disposal of fleet vehicles for Palm Oil Plantation business in Nanga Pinoh, Kalimantan Barat, Indonesia.

  • Ensure fleet availability to meet all requests by scheduling, forecasting and surveying current operation trends. \xc2\xb7 Maintain knowledge and utilize all fleet information to forecast new requirements.
  • Manage all fleet and equipment performance and availability based on operation requirement in order to avoid penalty charges and damage company reputation.
  • Arrange fleets and fleet operational staff to provide support to Operations Department.
  • Manage and planning on the costing of vehicle registration, insurance, licensing, and documentation regarding induction of new vehicles in existing fleet.
  • Complying with Indonesian transport rules and regulations requirements.
  • Manage on strategic planning and scheduling at the level in overall Service Areas maintenance activities, breakdown service and maintenance record in order to ensure the fleet and equipment is well taking care and operate at optimum level and effective cost.
  • Understand, monitor and ensure fleet operation in compliance with local and state rules and regulations.
  • Maintain and monitor data management system to organize fleets as per various schedules and requests.
  • Maintain and monitor driver behaviour ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Analyzing data to increase business operational efficiency.
  • Utilizing GPS systems to monitor drivers and track vehicles in case of theft.
  • Streamline and monitor fuel purchase system with assistance of Fuel Cards for all vehicles and drivers.
  • Develop and implement standard operational standards to maintain vehicles by advocating best practices in industry.
  • Provide direction to all the Managers to regulate budget cycle requirements and control budgeting process.
  • Plan, process and execute vehicle purchase and vehicle replacement through efficient settlement.
  • Plan and prepare annual budget, expenditures and analyze all financial objectives.
  • Facilitate and implement corrective actions and capacity building to manage entire fleet to achieve company objectives.
  • Overseeing, monitor and maintain related machinery and equipment.
  • To perform any related functions that require by the superior in order to improve the company/ departmental growth.
Requirements
  • At least Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Mechanical Automotive/Fleet Management/ Operations Logistics or equivalent.
  • At least 6-10 years of working experience in Fleet Management/ Facilities/ Equipment or Operations Logistics field is required.
  • Required language(s): English & Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Knowledge in (Plant Maintenance) and (Material Maintenance) is an advantage.
  • Strong report writing and communication skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous and strong interpersonal skills.
  • High diligence, patience under strong pressure, persistent and have good presentation skills.
  • Willing to relocate to Kalimantan Barat (Nanga Pinoh).
