Job Description

:

? Prepare food items by ensuring both quality and quantity

? Ensure that food items are appropriately arranged on plates and platters

? Prepare and assemble portions in accordance with the menu

? Store food in an appropriate manner

? Ensure that food items are properly rotated in storage

? Dispose of expired products and record accordingly

? Arrange plates and food items neatly on trays

? Ensure cleanliness of kitchen by following cleaning and sanitation guidelines

? Manage transportation of food and supplies. Ensure temperatures are within specified range as according to statutory requirements and recommended approved guidance

? Deliver food to the appropriate room or person; collect and discard the meal tray within the stipulated time

? Managing food inventory and supplies are according to par level

? Wash dishes and flatware

? Operate and maintain dishwashers

? Perform light bookkeeping duties

? Report kitchen malfunctions to superior immediately

? Inspect food items and equipment on a constant basis

? Assist with food preparation services for catering projects

Any other duties as per instructed by the organization

Education:

? SPM or equivalent

Knowledge and Experiences:

? No experience required as on-the-job training shall be provided. However, experience in food related industry shall be an added

? Familiarity with any food industry

? Experience in Hospital Dietary Services will be an extra advantage

? Knowledge of customer service related

? Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions

? Ability to work collaboratively in a team and interface with various levels of the organization

? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

? Maintains the integrity and quality of both computerized and manual data

Personal attributes

? Self-motivated with good interpersonal and communication skills with positive attitude to work

? Able to work on own initiatives, prioritize work and meet deadlines

? Good timekeeping but prepared to be flexible
