Job Responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Inspects forklift truck fleet to ensure trucks are working properly and safely. \xe2\x80\xa2 Identifies any forklift trucks that need repairs. \xe2\x80\xa2 Removes unsafe equipment from facility operating area and notifies supervisor. \xe2\x80\xa2 Repairs and maintains various types of forklift trucks including electric, gas-powered, and propane-powered. \xe2\x80\xa2 Tests forklift trucks to ensure repairs are completed correctly. \xe2\x80\xa2 Schedules and performs routine maintenance for forklift trucks. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensures batteries for electric forklift trucks are fully charged. \xe2\x80\xa2 Replaces empty propane tanks on propane-powered forklift trucks. \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintains repair log for forklift truck fleet. \xe2\x80\xa2 Performs other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements: \xe2\x80\xa2 Diploma/Certificate in Automation or equivalent required \xe2\x80\xa2 Possess 3-5 years working experience in forklift repair or related field. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to use hand and power tools to repair forklift trucks. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to read repair manuals for various types of forklift trucks. \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent mechanical repair skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to follow instructions. \xe2\x80\xa2 Analytical and problem-solving skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Must be physically capable of accessing all parts of the forklift truck needing repairs or maintenance, either by kneeling or lying on back.
