Position: Freight Forwarding Executive/Officer.
Salary: RM 2800-3800.
Job location: Kelana Jaya, Petaling Jaya.(Hours of work: 8.30 am-6.00 pm;5-working day week)
Company/Employer: International freight forwarding and logistics services.Chrisjac are currently assisting the organization to seek suitable logistics candidates to fill some of specific roles within the Freight operations team to be based at their main business office at Kelana Jaya in Petaling Jaya. This organization is an established leading international freight forwarder and logistics provider, operating from network of international agents across Asia, Australia, Middle East, Europe and America.
The job role & Responsibilities
The vacancies available are full-time permanent positions. The logistics professionals function as an interface between international and domestics service providers and broader business.
This position will be responsible for coordinating and assigning shipments/container cargo to the rightful destinations. You will ensure that shipments are assigned timely and accurately. The job will involve arranging export shipments from collection through to shipment, arrange import delivery and raise billing/invoices for payment.
In this role, you will be busy within dynamic environment so the candidate must be efficient and able to adapt to clients' requests. This is a fast paced role, applicants will need a high degree of accuracy and an ability to multi-task.
Line of duties will involve following key roles:
xc2xb7Registration of the job shipment into CargoWise upon booking.
xc2xb7Booking of space with shipping lines.
xc2xb7Prepare and issue invoices for Shipments.
xc2xb7Internal liaison with overseas offices and other departments.
xc2xb7Liaise with clients to keep them informed of the shipment status.
Requirements: The candidate
We are looking for female candidates who will have at least a Diploma qualification. She must be computer literate, able to operate MS Word, Excel and Outlook applications.
Candidates with 2-3 years of experience gained specifically within freight forwarding industry would be highly advantageous and preferred.
Familiar with EDI CargoWise experience is advantageous.
Good communication skills, both spoken and written English plus conversant in BM and Mandarin.
Must be willing to be based at Kelana Jaya area.This is an excellent opportunity to work with well established organization in international logistics industry. Candidates with previous experience in logistics or shipping industry will be highly desirable although those without the relevant industry but with strong passion to be associated in the industry are also welcome to apply for the job.
