Job Description

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a Shipping or Freight Forwarding company environment is a MUST.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken Mandarin and English (required for dealing with Mandarin-speaking clients and China agents).
• Proficient in computers and MS Office applications at an intermediate level.
• Strong understanding of import/export operations, especially with industry-leading MNC companies.
• Effective communication skills and ability to maintain good relationships with 3PLs, transporters, vendors, shippers, and forwarding agents.
• Matured candidate with own transport.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines with high trustworthiness and integrity.
• Immediate availability or ability to start within a short period is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage international shipments by liaising with suppliers and forwarders for cargo readiness and shipment schedules.
• Coordinate with internal and external freight forwarders, logistics providers, customs brokers, and other functional areas for incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Handle Import and Export (FCL/LCL) operations and manage all related shipment documents.
• Expertise in Import/Export documentation and declarations for K1, K2, K3, K4, K8, and K9.
• Experience in interpreting and negotiating Letters of Credit (LC).
• Provide comprehensive customer service, including handling bookings, enquiries, and requests.
• Manage a full set of shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
• Track job progress and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely job completion, with regular daily and monthly reporting.
• Maintain a well-organized documentation and filing system.
