Quickly is opening its first engineering hub in Kuala?Lumpur, and we're looking for a seasoned Full?Stack Developer to anchor the founding team. Working on a hybrid schedule--four days a week in our new KL HQ and one day remote--you'll help us transplant the momentum we've built in Singapore into Malaysia's vibrant tech scene. This is not a maintenance role; you will be writing the very first lines of code that run in our KL environment, setting the tone for every engineer who joins after you.

Day to day, you'll switch comfortably between a modern React?/?Next.js TypeScript frontend and a Fastify?based Node.js backend that talks to PostgreSQL through Prisma, caches in Redis, and drives lightning?fast search via Typesense. You'll design new database schemas, build REST and GraphQL APIs, containerise services with Docker, and automate deployments through GitHub?Actions on AWS or familiar cloud alternatives. Quality is part of the definition of "done," so you'll back your code with unit and integration tests, keep an eye on performance dashboards, and refine observability as traffic grows.

Because you'll be among the very first hires in KL, your influence will stretch well beyond shipping features. You'll help define coding conventions, review pull requests, mentor junior engineers as they come on board, and collaborate directly with product, design, and growth colleagues--often translating user feedback collected this morning into production fixes by the end of the week. As the office scales, you'll play a hands?on role in shaping our DevOps roadmap, deciding when to graduate services from simple ECS tasks or Lightsail droplets to more advanced orchestration like Kubernetes.

Our current stack includes React?15, TypeScript, Tailwind?CSS, Node.js?20, Fastify with TypeBox schemas, PostgreSQL, Redis, Typesense, Matomo analytics (MariaDB), Docker, GitHub?Actions, AWS Lightsail?/?EC2, and Cloudflare?R2 for object storage. We don't require mastery of every tool on day one, but you must be eager to learn adjacent technologies quickly and propose sensible alternatives when you see a better fit.

To thrive in this role, you'll bring three to five years of professional experience delivering production?grade full?stack web applications, a solid command of TypeScript and relational databases, confidence with Git?based workflows and CI/CD, and hands?on exposure to at least one major cloud provider. Strong communication skills are essential--you'll explain technical trade?offs to non?engineers and champion a candid, collaborative culture as we grow.
