Full Stack Software Engineer (gis)

Job Description
:
Lead the end-to-end development of the GIS platform, covering both frontend map interfaces and backend APIs. Work with GIS, Remote Sensing, and AI/ML teams to build integrated, scalable, and high-performance systems.
Responsibilities:
? Develop interactive GIS web applications using Leaflet, Mapbox, or OpenLayers.
? Design and implement backend APIs and data processing pipelines.
? Integrate geospatial databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS) with applications.
? Collaborate with UI/UX designers for interface improvements.
? Ensure security, performance, and maintainability of the codebase.
? Work closely with DevOps for deployment and CI/CD.
Requirements:
? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, GIS, or related field.
? Strong skills in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and frontend frameworks (React, Vue).
? Backend proficiency in Node.js, Python, or Java.
? Database expertise, especially PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
? Experience with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
? Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and DevOps tools.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,500.00 per month
