1. Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver creative and age-appropriate Bahasa Melayu lessons that align with the national primary curriculum standards. Focus on developing the four core language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing, appropriate for each year level. Utilize interactive teaching methods (e.g., songs, games, storytelling, and role-play) to make learning BM fun and accessible for primary students. Assess student performance regularly through classwork, quizzes, and formal assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback. Manage a dynamic primary classroom environment, ensuring discipline and student engagement. Collaborate with other primary teachers and the Head of Department to ensure curriculum continuity and holistic student development. Communicate proactively with parents regarding their child's language progress and any areas for support. Contribute to primary school events, assemblies, and co-curricular activities.
2. Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Education, Bahasa Melayu Studies, or a related field. Prior experience teaching Bahasa Melayu to primary school students (Year 1-6) is highly preferred. Deep passion for teaching young children and proven ability to create an engaging learning atmosphere. Excellent command of Bahasa Melayu (written and spoken) is essential. Knowledge of standard primary teaching methodologies and classroom management techniques. Must be patient, energetic, flexible, and possess strong communication and organizational skills. A Malaysian citizen or holding valid work authorization.
