As a Delegate Sales Manager at CIO Network, you and your team will be inviting CXOs to our events. You need to have excellent telephone manner, be confident speaking with C-level executives, and be target-driven at the team and individual levels.
We need a leader who can grasp varying IT topics and hold their own when discussing the challenges that the industry is facing. You need to be a confident communicator and hungry to earn lots of commission (it's uncapped!)
Responsibilities
:
To offer strategic growth in line with the company's business plan
To invite delegates across all events within the OpenGov portfolio (Conferences, Breakfast Insights and training sessions) to deliver to the right audience
To consistently meet and exceed sales activity targets both on an individual and team level
To liaise effectively with all internal departments (sponsorship, production, marketing, operations)
Take responsibility for the growth and strategy surrounding delegate sales, working with the Vice-President
Manage a dynamic, effective team which celebrates success and drives activity
Work with the VP to measure quantitative and qualitative performance and make any necessary process and personnel changes
Day to day management and motivation of the delegate sales executives
Co-ordination and planning of all training requirements for the group, including individual coaching and training
Quarterly appraisals for all tele sales representatives to include an analysis of results, performance and general effectiveness
Recruitment of quality staff who are both excellent brand ambassadors and have the core characteristics of exceptional salespeople
Producing and coordinating weekly and monthly reports regarding market feedback and market analysis
Close liaison with all departments, especially regarding the development of new campaigns and the sourcing of appropriate lists
Maintaining a high level of commitment and standard of work
Work at events onsite (if required)
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience of working in a compatible role, which includes telesales
At least 3-5 years in managing a team of delegates in sales
Diploma or Degree educated
Great interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
Ability to communicate with a wide range of clients at all levels
Excellent time management skills
A desire to beat the targets that are set for you
Show no fear in speaking with C-Level executives over the phone
Transparency - honesty and accuracy are the foundations upon which sales success is built
Willingness to learn from your line manager and key team members, who will guide and
Train you in the essential skills set required to excel in your job
Ownership. You own the work you do and are equally responsible for the successful delivery of it
