It is expected that by the end of 2025 Malaysia Country Office will have an estimated 200,000 Pledge Donors contributing to both Country Programme and Global Regular Resource funds. It is the objective of the office to develop internal resources, skills and experience to maximise payment approval rates for newly recruited and existing pledges to ensure collection of donations (income) continues from Private Fundraising Sector through efficient use of tools, systems and processes.The position of Fundraising Officer (Donation Processing) at the NO-B level in the Malaysia Country Office, in the section of Private Sector Fundraising & Partnerships, reports to the Fundraising Specialist (Donor Management), who is at the NO-C level.Purpose of the Job:The objective of the Fundraising Officer (Donation Processing) is to establish and execute best practices (identifying gaps and plugging them, opportunities, implement improvements and efficiencies) and benchmarks for pledge and one-time payment processing through payment submission, reporting and data analysis and leading negotiations with payment gateways for best in market integrated solutions. The incumbent is also responsible for the accuracy, efficiency and effectiveness in the management of pledge and one-time donation processing.How can you make a difference?1. Management of Donation Processes

  • New Pledge and One-Time donation processing is performed within 24 hours of receipt of data.
  • Ensure the allowable maximum number of payment re-attempts for Pledges via different payment methods per month is carried out, always looking to optimize the number of monthly attempts.
  • Deliver a minimum 1st Payment Success Rate and Recurring Payment rates for Auto Debit and Card Donation processing as defined in the yearly targets.
  • Recommend and implement modifications to database and or integrations to increase efficiency in payment submission across all fundraising channels/campaigns and payment types.
2. Analytics and Donation Processing
  • Conduct regular analysis of 1st Payment and Recurring Payment Success Rate (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) to determine Trends (by Channel, Time, Day, Date, Payment Type, etc) with the aim of ensuring income maximization and processing optimization.
  • Identify, report, and resolve payment inaccuracies to deliver accurate payment data.
  • Design and implement donation processing reports and dashboards.
  • Interpret and identify payment trends and pattern to provide input to the PSP for accurate income projection.
  • Present actionable insight and timely interventions to avoid income loss.
  • Introducing automated alerts or use of predictive analysis using tools and system.
3. Payment methods optimization
  • Research and recommend new payment methods providing more options to Pledge donor\'s to effect their monthly pledge; including scoping technical and processes aspects.
  • Negotiate with the payment providers the best possible rates for UNICEF in donation processing.
  • Fully implement new payment methods looking for process optimization and automation.
  • Always be curious about new options available in market.
4. Donation Processing Team Management
  • Manage and measure performance of individual donation processing team members with the aim for individual team members delivering minimum KPIs. Developing and maintaining performance appraisal structure to ensure team members are sufficiently motivated.
  • Enlisting relevant assistance from various internal teams and external party/ies to support various Donation Processing areas.
5. Others
  • Manage the donation processing functions to deliver the highest level of donor satisfaction and donation payment data at all times.
  • Assist in data entry of donor profiles and donations and other matters that may arise.
  • Work closely with the wider Business Intelligence and PFP for other matters that may arise.
  • Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by Fundraising Specialist (Donor Management).
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have\xe2\x80\xa6A university degree in one of the following fields is required: Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Business Accounting, Analytics.Minimum of 2 years of professional experience is required especially in payment processing and/or financial analysis experience.Knowledge of Data Management and Financial Management will be an added advantage. * Fluency in English is required.
