A Snapshot of Your Day

In this fast-paced multinational environment, our FX Accountant will be part of the Siemens Energy Asia Pacific Accounting & Controlling community and has a pivotal role to play in various FX-related topics.

How You\'ll Make an Impact

  • Advisory to operational businesses on FX accounting implications
  • Monitoring & reporting compliance with FX guidelines
  • Responsible for hedge accounting documentation and hedge effectiveness testing
  • Ensuring that FX P/L effects are allocated appropriately to the originating businesses e.g. - realized FX on matured FX deals, revaluation of open FX contracts, revaluation of cash held in foreign currencies.
  • Analysis of FX-related P/L impacts
  • Providing FX accounting training for the businesses (when need arises)
  • Communicate frequently within teams spread across the region as well as Senior Management
  • Support ad-hoc requirement/tasks
What You Bring
  • Degree in Accounting and Finance with at least 6 years of working experience, multinational corporation clients or direct multinational corporation
  • Professional qualification e.g., ACCA, CPA or equivalent
  • Solid knowledge and experience in foreign currency risk management and the accounting thereof
  • Sound knowledge in SAP
  • Able to work independently, self-motivated, possess analytical skills and ability to adapt to change.
  • Able to help other team members in providing advice for the daily tasks.
  • Someone who thrives in an international environment and possess excellent communication and English skills both orally and in writing.

Siemens Energy Asia Pacific Accounting & Controlling Team, acts as the business partner to Siemens Energy business units across the region in our governance capacity. We are the "goal keeper". We ensure the integrity of the books and records of Siemens Energy entities in the region and support the global initiatives in Siemens Energy Corporate Functions.
