BAT KL IS LOOKING FOR A GENERAL LEDGER ANALYST

SENIORITY LEVEL: Non- management

FUNCTION: GBS Finance

SALARY RANGE: Market salary + Excellent benefits + Market leading bonus

LOCATION: Sunway Geo, Kuala Lumpur

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

The General Ledger Senior Analyst is responsible to perform routine and transactional processing tasks which are administrative in general, such as data download, updating GL line items and supporting download from ECC, to ensure quality and accurate completion of services and key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the Service Level Agreement (SLA)

Reports to: General Ledger Assistant Manager

Reporting Level: N/A

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

• Perform team processes including:

• GL Dump extraction as per agreed timeline
• Extracting supporting documents as per agreed timeline
• VAT input as per guidance from EM (Only applicable for items in English)
• Report generation for Excise calculation and support

• Meeting service levels

• Participate in continuous improvement in process efficiency and effectiveness
• Ensure SOX/internal controls programs are adhered to
• Comply with accounting principles, GBS standards and SLAs
• Assist in addressing customer issues and requests

• Establish and maintain working relationship with End Market where applicable

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Diploma with a minimum of 1 year work experience
• Fresh Graduates with Degree in relevant field (preferably Commerce, Finance, Accounting)
• Basic knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
• Understanding of general administrative duties and procedures
• Understanding of Excel and Power Point
• Ability to use SAP and other financial systems needed to perform and support the relevant functional area
• Good computer skills and proactive learner
• Knowledge or skillset in excel Macro development or maintenance.
• Basic experience in performing the Purchase to Payment process or any related works
