Job Description


Are you a seasoned professional with expertise in risk management and a passion for the real estate industry We have an exciting opportunity for a General Manager to join our dynamic team at a leading property investment company. Responsibilities : Review, recommend, and enhance investment and financial risk management policies and procedures within our global risk management framework. Participate in and/or coordinate risk assessments for process improvement, projects, CAPEX, and investment proposals. Conduct in-depth risk budgeting and capital adequacy analysis for our property investments. Develop and maintain risk models and reports to ensure comprehensive oversight of investment and financial portfolios. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards. Investigate and research emerging risks and trends in the industry, providing valuable insights to the management team. Collaborate with other departments to align risk management strategies with the company\'s objectives and risk tolerance. Deliver timely and informative risk reporting, escalating significant risk issues to the Group CEO and Compliance Management. Conduct regular risk assessments and stress testing to identify potential vulnerabilities and proactively address them. Assist the Group CEO with remediation strategies and implementation of ongoing improvements. Effectively communicate risk assessments to relevant stakeholders, recommending appropriate risk management actions. Requirements : Degree in Risk Management, Management, Actuarial Science, or a related field. Strong data mining, mapping, and strategic analysis skills. Knowledge of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) factors, data analytics, investment risk, and a thorough understanding of the real estate industry. Knowledge in Asset and Liability Management (ALM) A team player with excellent interpersonal skills. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with strong communication abilities. Dedication, innovation, resourcefulness, analytical thinking, and a deadline-driven mindset. Excellent organizational, planning, problem-solving, quantitative, and project management skills. Minimum Experience : At least 15 years of relevant work experience, demonstrating a track record in risk management. Prior experience in economic impact analysis or business development would be advantageous. Experience in the property industry and GLC Companies will be considered a strong asset
