An exciting General Manager job has been made available at a renowned medical device company here in Malaysia.

About the General Manager Role:

In this General Manager role, you will be responsible for the overall business operations in the organisation, overseeing the sales and operations within hospital and distribution channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to the CEO/MD and oversee the sales operation processes, sales funnel, manage CRM data and lead the Sales and Marketing team
  • Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the business, including managing business call centre operation, supervising staff, and handling frontline operations
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the business
  • Oversee the financial performance of the business, including setting budgets, tracking expenses, monitoring sales and analysing financial data to identify areas for improvement
  • Actively generate performance gap analysis and recovery plan discussion with sales from CRM reports and checking sales hygiene
  • Oversee the hiring, orienting, and training of sales, marketing and operational employees to ensure a competent workforce
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales staff to develop and implement strategies that improve the marketability of manufactured products to achieve sales targets and increase revenue
  • Ensure that the business is in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment for staff and customers
  • Provide training and support to staff to help them develop their skills and knowledge
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
  • Review personnel performance and their key performance indicators (KPI) to determine individuals most suited for promotion
  • Any other duties as assigned by the management from time to time
To succeed in this General Manager job, you will need to have the ability to manage sales and marketing teams and work cross functionally with other matrix.

Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree or higher in a related field
  • Strong experience in business planning, commercial leadership and business unit
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and competitive market
