Argyll Scott is retained exclusively by an international retail-led client to look for an experienced General Manager, Malaysia to join its Kuala Lumpur office. As this is a retained c onfidential search, the client company name will only be disclosed in later stages of the recruitment process.The position will strenghten the company operations in the country, driving strategic objectives to fruition, including but not limited to amplifying the company\'s market presence, enriching the customer journey, and propelling sales forward.Key responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the operations of the Malaysia business, ensuring strategic goals are met
• Develop and implement strategies to increase market share, improve customer experience, and drive sales growth
• Manage and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence
• Oversee financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to ensure the country\'s profitability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency, product offerings, and customer service standards
• Engage with various regional stakeholders to build strong relationships and partnerships

• Mandatory: proficient in Bahasa Melayu
• Mandatory: proven experience in the Malaysian retail market
• Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration or related field. MBA advantageous.
• Min. 15 years of experience in retail management
• Experienced country head or general manager who owns total P/L responsibilities and business operations
