Genomics Account Scientist (Genomics and Bioinformatics) Codon Genomics is seeking a Genomics Account Scientist with a strong genomics or molecular biology background as an addition to the Application Sciences team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of existing key and non-key accounts and work closely with the technical team to introduce new high-throughput sequencing and bioinformatics-based applications to the research community in fundamental biological research, medical sciences, and agriculture. Jobscope Serving as a business representative, maintaining scientific activities with the customers Identifying, engaging, and qualifying new customers to expand the customer base Overseeing the daily, routine tasks involved with addressing the customers\' scientific and business needs Serving as the key point of contact for customers and providing customer support, upselling, technical assistance, and general relationship management Serving a combination of roles such as a salesperson, customer service representative, technical specialist, and financial advisor in achieving revenue and growth goals Delivering product presentations, demos, and explanations to customers Conducting regular on-site visitations and activities to interact with customers Developing marketing campaigns and collaterals to reach customers digitally Handling sales enquiries and engaging customers to gather requirements Supporting pre-sales and post-sales activities Working closely with the project manager and technical team to deliver results and projects Providing management with up-to-date account activities and issues regularly Skills A degree or related to biotechnology/biomedical sciences/genetics/genomics/bioinformatics Basic molecular biology knowledge and skills related to DNA and RNA Research experience relevant to Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and bioinformatics, including but not limited to genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics, and metagenomics, is an added advantage Client discovery, relationship building, and account management skills Communication and negotiation skills Scientific acumen, product knowledge, and financial experience Ability to drive customer interest with a broad portfolio of applications and solutions Creative thinking skills Proven team player Strong time management skills Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply
